BEACH DAWGS ELITE (10U thru 12U)
BEACH DAWGS ELITE is geared toward playing in the top tournaments and against the top teams in the state. these teams will play at their age for tournaments, but up in age for league games and double headers. players will be learning how to play the game at a high level through professional coaching and practice. ELITE teams will make a yearly run at either the Cooperstown tournament in New York, or the Baseball Youth Nationals tournament in Kentucky each year.
rosters are limited to 11 maximum players. most positions will be set, and not on a rotational basis.
BEACH DAWGS AAA (9U thru 14U)
BEACH DAWGS AAA teams will play in one local competitive tournament with other teams of a similar skill level, 2-3 double headers, and travel ball league play each month. players will receive high level instruction and training, and have the opportunity to be "called up" to ELITE if a need arises, and their play allows. players will have the opportunity to be selected for league All-Stars.
rosters are limited to 13 maximum players. positions may be rotated on an occasional basis. bracket play tournament game lineups may be limited to 9 or 10 players, and players may not start every game.
BEACH DAWGS AA (9U thru 12U)
BEACH DAWGS AA teams will play in the BEACH DAWGS Baseball league, travel ball league, and 1 double header per month. over the course of the season, from September to May, the team will play 2-3 local tournaments against other teams of a similar skill level.
rosters are limited to 14 maximum players. positions will be rotated so players can expand their skill set. playing time will be spread as evenly as possible. players will receive high level instruction and training, have the opportunity to be "called up" to AAA if a need arises, and their play allows.
BEACH DAWGS Developmental (9U thru 12U)
BEACH DAWGS Developmental teams are geared toward players who are new to competitive baseball, or are just learning the game. the schedule will feature more practices than games, as players will be learning high level concepts, and be receiving quality instruction and training. teams will compete in the BEACH DAWGS Baseball League, and play occasional double headers against other local teams.
rosters will be between 11-14 players. players will receive high level instruction and training, and have the opportunity to be "called up" to AA if a need arises, and their play allows.
8U travel ball
the 8U BEACH DAWGS travel team will be an opportunity for your player to learn all the fundamentals and techniques needed to succeed in the game of baseball. the team will play a very light competitive game schedule (possibly one tournament a month), with a primary focus on practices that will help prepare the players to play at a high competitive level.
BEACH DAWGS Baseball features coaches with Major League, Minor League, and Collegiate baseball experience. our coaches focus on teaching your player how to play the game at a high level: mentally and physically. we teach our players how to prepare in practice, on their own, in the on-deck circle, and even in between the pitch. we expect our players to work hard, play hard, and respect the game. we keep the game light, knowing from experience that baseball is a game of failure, we are better able to relate with our players. our players have welcomed a laid-back atmosphere, as it helps to lessen the pressure associated with the game.
